Nigeria’s Crude Oil Production Rises to 2.1m Barrels Per Day

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation said on Tuesday that Nigeria’s Crude oil production has risen to 2.1m barrels per day thanks to the peaceful approach the federal government is employing to tackle the Niger Delta crises.

This was revealed by the corporation’s Group Managing Director, Dr. Maikanti Baru at the ongoing 2017 edition of the Nigeria Oil and Gas conference and exhibition,  a 4 day event holding at the Abuja International Conference Center in Abuja, Nigeria.

According to Dr.Maikanti Baru, the corporation is hoping to hit the 2.2 million barrels per day mark being the benchmark the government has set in the 2017 budget.

This is probably one of the best news since the beginning of the year because when crude oil production rises, there will be more money for government to fund developmental projects and invariably leads to stability of the economy.

This is a confirmation of earlier report by NNPC about the steady growth of crude oil production in the country.
