Another Nigerian LNG Cargo Heads for Portugal

A cargo of Liquefied Natural Gas has left Nigeria’s Bonny Export Plant for REN’s Sines LNG import terminal on Portugal’s Atlantic coast. The Nigerian LNG cargo’s expected time of arrival at the port is next week, LNG World News reports.

The cargo is being hauled by the 145,842-cbm LNG Oyo that loaded at Nigeria’s Bonny export plant, and is expected to dock at the Portuguese facility on February 20, according to the port of Sines shipping data.

NLNG’s Bonny Island facility has the capacity to produce 22 mtpa of liquefied natural gas from its six trains.

You will recall that Nigeria is currently enjoying steady gas production after a ceasefire between the federal government and the Niger Delta militants.
