13000 Tonnes of Cooking Gas due for Discharge at Apapa Terminal

It’s another good news for users of Liquefied Petroleum Gas in Nigeria as 13000 tonnes of cooking gas is due for discharge at Apapa terminal this Friday. This according to Nigerians The Nigerian Association of Liquefied Petroleum Gas Marketers (NALPGAM),  will sure lead to crash in price of cooking gas in the country.

Earlier this week, the Executive Secretary of the association, Mr. Bassey Essein, said in Lagos that a vessel loaded with 13,000 tonnes from Bonny terminal, belonging to the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG), was expected to berth.

One of the challenges marketers are facing is  the fact that there are few LPG vessels available and they are very expensive to charter. Also, the crises that rocks the Niger Delta mid 2016 did not only affect crude oil production but also Liquefied Petroleum Gas.

Nigerians in recent months have to pay through their noses to buy cooking gas reason being that its price skyrocketed no thanks to shortage in supply. More vessels are expected to berth in no distant time and Nigerians would have reasons to smile again.

The 13,000 tonnes that is due for discharge today is timely and will go a long way in ameliorating the sufferings of the people.
